These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Borrow5K website and services (the “Site” and the “Service”). By using this Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the Service.

1. What Borrow5K Is — and Is Not

Not a Lender

Borrow5K is not a lender, creditor, financial institution, broker, or agent of any lender. We do not make loans, do not make credit decisions, and do not guarantee that you will receive a loan or any specific loan terms.

We do not offer or solicit loans. Our role is limited to providing an online service that helps connect users with lenders or third-party financial service providers who may be able to make an offer.

Our Role

Borrow5K operates as an independent platform that allows you to submit a loan request and, if possible, be connected with one or more lending partners who may respond with an offer. Any loan you may receive is provided solely by the lender, not by Borrow5K.

2. Important Notes About Loan Offers

  • Lenders in our network may offer loan amounts ranging from $200 up to $5,000, but not all lenders offer the maximum amount.
  • We cannot guarantee that you will receive an offer or be approved.
  • Approval decisions are made solely by lenders based on their own criteria, which may include credit history, income, employment, banking history, state of residence, and other factors.
  • We do not guarantee interest rates, repayment terms, fees, or any other loan conditions.
  • Loan terms and costs vary by lender and are outside of our control.

We do not verify or investigate the licensing, certifications, or legal qualifications of any lender or financial provider. You are responsible for researching and evaluating any lender before entering into an agreement.

3. Service Availability

Our Service is not available in all U.S. states.

  • Not all lenders operate in all states.
  • Residents of certain states may not be eligible for loan products due to state laws.
  • When you select your state, you may be informed if loan options are limited or unavailable in your location.

4. You Are Responsible for Your Financial Decisions

Your financial decisions are your own responsibility.

While we provide a platform to help you check whether a lender may be able to make you an offer, we are not responsible for:

  • the decisions you make,
  • the loan terms you accept,
  • or the outcomes of any agreement you enter into with a lender or service provider.

You should always:

  • carefully review all loan terms,
  • understand repayment obligations,
  • and consider whether a loan is appropriate for your situation before accepting any offer.

5. How the Service Works

To use the Service, you must complete a request form providing certain personal and financial information (“Request Form”). You agree that:

  • all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete,
  • you are acting on your own behalf,
  • you will not submit information for another person or impersonate anyone.

We do not verify the accuracy of the information you submit.

After you submit a Request Form:

  • Your information may be shared with one or more lending partners or service providers.
  • These partners may review your information to decide whether to respond with a loan offer or other financial service offer.
  • This review may include verifying information and obtaining credit data.

If a lender chooses to make you an offer, we may connect you by redirecting you to the lender’s website or opening a new page. From that point forward, all interactions are between you and the lender, and are governed by the lender’s own terms, policies, and agreements.

Borrow5K is not a party to any loan agreement.

6. Compensation and Transparency

Our Service is free for users.

However, Borrow5K may receive compensation from:

  • lenders,
  • lending networks,
  • and other financial service providers

for connecting users, sharing information, and marketing services. This compensation allows us to operate the Service at no cost to you.

Compensation does not affect whether a lender approves or denies your request, and we do not control the terms of any loan offer.

7. Eligibility Requirements

By using this Site and Service, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are a resident of the United States
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into contracts
  • You are using the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes

8. Credit Authorization

To evaluate your request, lenders may obtain your credit report or other credit information from consumer reporting agencies such as TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax.

In addition, to provide related financial services such as credit monitoring or debt relief programs, some partners may access limited credit data, such as credit score or total debt amount.

Before submitting your request, you will be asked to authorize Borrow5K, lending partners, and service providers to access and use your credit information for these purposes.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • provide false or misleading information,
  • submit requests on behalf of others,
  • attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization,
  • interfere with Site functionality or security,
  • scrape data, harvest emails, or use automated programs,
  • distribute malware, spam, or harmful code,
  • copy or misuse proprietary content, designs, or code,
  • attempt to reverse engineer any part of the Site or Service.

Violations may result in loss of access and legal action.

10. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to third-party websites, including lender websites and service providers.

Borrow5K does not:

  • control,
  • monitor,
  • endorse,
  • or guarantee

any third-party content, services, or practices.

Your use of third-party websites is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for reviewing their terms, privacy policies, and fee disclosures before using their services.

Borrow5K is not responsible for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from your interactions with third parties.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

THE SITE AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

  • or that any offer will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BORROW5K SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES,
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR PRIVACY,
  • COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES,
  • OR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICE,

EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the Service, which is zero.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Borrow5K, its owners, partners, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
